Under the direction of Rodrigo Toffolo and arranged by Mateus Freire, the show—conceived by cultural producer Paulo Rogério Lage—offers a versatile and refined perspective on the work of one of Brazil's most significant musical artists.
The repertoire includes Alceu Valença's iconic songs—Anunciação, Belle De Jour, Tropicana, Coração Bobo, Girassol, Cavalo de Pau, Como Dois Animais, Táxi Lunar—complemented by treasures from his oeuvre (Sino de Ouro, Sete Desejos, Junho, Dia Branco), interspersed with Alceu's own orchestral themes, Acende a Luz and the suite Valencianas, written by Mateus Freire and inspired by various musical references from the composer’s body of work.
