Hey, Berlin! ✨✨✨

The sunny holiday season is almost over and there's been a bit of a break here too. But we're back to remind you that, although Berlin sometimes wants to show otherwise, summer isn't over yet! And this Sunday, 03.09, we're back in full swing with another delightful Roda de Feijoada outdoors, this time with special guests. Check out all the details below.

Also in September, the icon from Pernambuco, Alceu Valença, will be starting his euro tour and Berlin is one of the first stops! On 23.09, we have a date with Alceu at Festsaal Kreuzberg. Last tickets available HERE.

We know that some people miss our Baile Funk and we're preparing a super special edition of our party Bailee in tribute to the prince of baile funk, MC Marcinho, also on September 23rd, after party of the Alceu concert. More info soon.

And the countdown to Gilberto Gil's concert has begun too, hmm? In exactly one more month (01.10), the Tempodrom will be dominated by Gil's incomparable poetic axé, on his farewell tour of European stages. Tickets are sold out! Those who have snapped up their tickets are in for a historic show.

Plus, there's a lot of good fun in store for us in the second half of the year. Come with us and you can't go wrong. 😉

This Sunday, Festsaal Kreuzberg will once again be dominated by samba, swing, borogodó, delicious food and good energy! This time, besides the traditional roda de samba, the Roda de Feijoada will be joined by Matéria Rima and their hip-hop. For the kids, there will be a bouncy castle and recreational activities, including a painting workshop with Andréia Salame.

And for the adults, there will be a samba de gafieira workshop with the dear Carlos Frevo. All this is included in your ticket, which you can grab right now HERE. Plus, of course, the most popular Brazilian food market in the city (separate service). Thus: 03.09, 2pm to 10pm at Festsaal Kreuzberg (Am Flutgraben 2, 12435 Berlin). See you there? 🍻

Quick tips 🌪️

1. Did you know that the name of Alceu Valença's new show was inspired by a meme? Alceu Dispor has gone viral on social networks, is a WhatsApp sticker and has even become a T-shirt print. On 23.09 we're going to see and hear this amazing show up close. Info and tickets HERE.

2. After a long hiatus, Bixiga 70 have just released the single Malungu, featuring Simone Sou. The group continues to make catharsis with its instrumental music and will be in Berlin on 02.11 with the Vapor Tour 2023. And (first hand): Luísa e os Alquimistas will be opening the show. Great night! Info and tickets HERE.

3. Speaking of new singles, have you seen Djonga's collaboration with Chris MC and Akatu? This mix resulted in a very nice pagodinho called Zero Chances. On 12 November, Djonga lands in Berlin for a "sensational sensation". Tickets are flying out! Get yours now and check out other dates on Djonga's European tour HERE.

4. November is packed here at Bossa! On 19.11, the wonderful Gilsons take over our hearts in Berlin. Tickets are already sold out in Amsterdam! And here, those who wait will miss out. Get your ticket now HERE and give your friends in Dublin and Barcelona a buzz too! By the way, the Gilsons have also been producing some great new music. Their latest and recently released single is called Céu Rosé, a tasty feat with Lagum.

5. In the mood for unmissable releases, we recommend checking out the album Xande canta Caetano, by Xande de Pilares. The result of this tribute to Caetano Veloso is a work with incredible versions and reinterpretations of Caetano's work, which is already considered by the public to be one of the best albums of the year. It's worth checking out!

6. Two other Brazilian cool events in September: the TUPI BERLIN FESTIVAL, on 10.09 at Zenner, featuring Tulipa Ruiz, Nei Zigma, Michi Ruzitschka, Thamires Tannous and DJ Renatrix (free entry); and the praty Enemies of the End, on 30.09, at House of Music with Tragatu, A Panda do Sol, La Cura and DJs Caramuru and Discos da Jajá (info and tickets HERE).

7. From women to women! We recommend subscribing to the monthly newsletter of the Janainas e.V. association, a very important organisation that promotes exchanges and support between women in Berlin. Subscribe to the newsletter HERE and keep up to date with the Janainas programme.

8. Did you know that this summer there's a pop-up cheese bread café in Kreuzkölln? In addition to offering the traditional version with a perfect dough, Pondji has a menu with delicious fillings, both savoury and sweet. Hurry to try it out because it's only open until 30.09. Sanderstraße 22, Friday to Sunday 2pm-10pm.

9. ⚠️ Did you know that you can also buy your tickets for BOSSA FM events at Pop Kultur Kaffee in Kreuzberg and at A Livraria in Mitte? Follow Pop and A Livraria on Instagram.
